Offprint Paris

If i was in Paris right now i would go to Offprint Paris

Offprint Paris (Link) is an Art Publishing Fair focused on emerging practices in Art.
We give special attention to the evolution of publishing/curating from traditional “spaces” (catalogues, artists books, photobooks, newspapers, but also museums and schools) towards new spaces and artists organizations (independent publishing, self publishing strategies, websites, blogs, social networks, activism, non institutional activities...).
We consider that the topic of “Publishing” can offer a stimulating hermeneutic to analyse the structure and development of the contemporary art world in a context of digitalization of cultures.
Check out their website, especially the Participants Section. But be warned: you get lost very easily between all those publishers, books and prints ....

And again the NYT

Yes, me too. I'm annoyed with the whole election-brimborium. But it produces some greate Info-Graphics, and for me, that part is really interesting.

Two examples from the NYT focusing on the changes in support:

We need more designers working in visualization departments so that we end up with graphics like this that are tailored exactly to the structure of the data and the story it tells rather than trying to select from an existing conventional data representation type.
